Northfield Hospital + Clinics Opens New Urgent Care

Northfield Hospital + Clinics (NH+C) and Spectrum Sign Systems have been partnering for many years after we helped them with a major rebrand. When NH+C decided to open a new urgent care in Northfield, they picked up the phone and called us.

New Urgent Care Needs

The new urgent care was located in a strip mall off of highway 3. The building formerly housed a different urgent care so it was imperative that the building take on a whole new look and that it was clear that the urgent care was owned by NH+C.

Northfield Hospital + Clinics goals

Spectrum Signs met with NH+C to understand their needs and their goals. NH+C was looking for a number of signs and wanted to be sure that the new signs were consistent with their brand guidelines.

The clinic would inhabit two suites so care had to be taken to direct people to the correct front entrance. They wanted a big enough lighted sign that would be seen by people driving by on highway 3 both day and night. They also wanted an interior logo display behind the front desk that was another reminder that NH+C was the owner of the urgent care.

Type of signs needed

  • LED face illuminated sign above the entrance

  • Interior logo display/Dimensional letter set behind the front desk

  • Panel insert for monument sign

  • Door vinyl placed next to the primary entrance that listed hours and other important information.

We recommended a 16 foot face illuminated channel letter sign above the entrance. The urgent care letters are blue with a white outline to make it more visible at night. We used a raceway mount to minimize the holes that needed to be drilled into the wall.

For the interior logo display, we designed a 6 foot dimensional logo display using their branding. The panel insert for the monument sign followed both the branding guidelines and the landlord’s requirements.

Sign removal needed from old location

The move to a new urgent care meant that NH+C closed their express care clinic. NH+C hired Spectrum Signs to remove the signage at this location. The previous clinic was in a multi-tenant facility so care had to be taken to remove the signs in a way that still looked aesthetically pleasing to the owner of the building and to the remaining tenants. It was also important that the removal was timed to cause the least amount of disruption to patrons.

NH+C was pleased with how this project went and Spectrum Signs continues to be their sign vendor of choice.

Project Highlights
  • Several signs needed for new urgent care

  • Signs needed to stand out as different because there had been a previous urgent care in the same location with a different owner

  • Needed a sign big enough to be seen as vehicles drive by at a rapid speed

  • Needed to be lighted so it would be seen at night

  • Interior logo served as another reminder to patients that the urgent care belonged to NH+C and not the previous owner
