Wellington management was looking to refresh the façade of their Arden Plaza shopping center to give it a new, updated look and make it more eye-catching.
Our team was put to the task of creating custom signage for the North and South towers of the shopping center.
The tower walls had a recessed area that made the project challenging. We proposed creating custom pans to create a solid face for the towers. The pans were created with notched backs to fit over the bump-out in the walls and allowed for a flush continuation of the tower walls up to the roofline. This created a smooth, continuous surface on which to install new signage.
Design team shines
The client wanted an image of a tree that would mimic the city of Arden Hills logo. Our design team provided several mock ups of tree options for them to choose from. Once the tree design was chosen, we designed a circular cabinet to surround the tree and installed RGB LEDs. These color changing LEDs allow them to change the color of the tree to whatever color they want.
For the Arden Plaza sign, we used a customized font to create the LED face illuminated sign. We installed RGB LEDs in the letters so at night they could be illuminated any color the client wanted.
Tenant Signage
We created a new LED lighted monument sign to showcase the tenants both day and night. We designed the masonry base to match the building, and inserted divider bars in the face to make it easy to change.
All existing on-building tenant signage was removed and repair work was completed. This allowed Wellington’s facility team to come in and paint the outside of the building. Once completed, our install team mounted new sign raceways painted to match the updated façade color which created a unified look between tenants.
It was great to be a part of a project that gave a new look to this retail center.
