Spectrum Signs Systems Helps United Properties Introduce Amira Senior Living Brand

Spectrum Signs Systems has once again collaborated with long time partner United Properties. United Properties engaged Spectrum Signs to help them with their sign project for uniting its three types of senior living developments under the umbrella of one brand: Amira.

Amira communities provide a comprehensive continuum of lifestyle and care choices for seniors from independent living, to assisted living, to memory care and enhanced care, allowing residents to age in place where they are known and warmly cared for.

United Properties’ wanted the new signage to reflect the variety of lifestyle choices Amira offers, as well as convey the services offered at each location. They also wanted the signs to have a high-end look and some dimension.

To provide dimension to the sign, Spectrum Signs suggested a main cabinet with a pan face and pushed out letters adding multiple layers to the sign. Spectrum Signs’ design team also suggested using two different blues in the signs, a subtle blue that would stand out, but not overpower the branded blue.

Since their brand guidelines did not include a secondary blue, Spectrum Signs’s design team worked closely with United Properties’s creative agency in New York to choose a Pantone blue that compliments the primary blue color.

Spectrum Signs’ installation team worked closely with United Properties’ project management team during the installation process. The project consisted of new signage and refurbishing existing signage at nine locations and more to come.

For current locations, we installed new signs on the existing bases, and in a few cases, constructed new bases. We also refaced some directional signage. For new locations, we installed monument signs, on-building signage, and address numbers.

The results? Signage that provides an upscale look while staying true to the new brand and providing consistency across all locations.
